Two men accused of stealing a car and trying to ram a police vehicle have been charged.
It will be alleged around 3.55pm, May 4, the pair entered a Leichhardt Highway property in Dululu and stole a grey Ford Everest.
The vehicle was seen driving dangerously along Lower Dawson Road several hours later towards Rockhampton.
It’s further alleged the vehicle drove directly at a police vehicle before crashing into a power pole.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle were located by Gladstone Dog Squad and arrested a short time later in Rockhampton.
A 19-year-old Norman Gardens man has been charged with six offences, including one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicles, dangerous operation of a vehicle, damaging emergency vehicle, evasion, endangering a police office when driving a motor vehicle, and enter dwelling and commit.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 17 June.
A 31-year-old Gracemere man has been charged with six offences, including two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles, and one count each of enter dwelling and commit, attempted enter premises, possessing dangerous drugs (GHB), and fail to take reasonable care and precautions in respect of syringe.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on 26 May.
Investigations are ongoing.
