Manhunt launched after armed servo robbery

A man is on the run after he allegedly robbed a Parkhurst service station at knifepoint.

Just before 7.30pm Sunday, the man entered the Yaamba Road business with a large knife, threatening an employee and demanding cash and cigarettes.

The man fled with the stolen goods and the employee was not harmed.

Police are now appealing for information to help catch the offender.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 150 to 160cm tall with a slim build and was wearing a black hoodie, long dark pants and fluoro yellow or green runners.

Anyone with information that may help identify the offender is urged to contact police.
