A woman has been airlifted from North West Island after a tree fell onto her tent while camping.
The 24-year-old suffered significant head and chest injuries as well as suspected spinal injuries early Sunday morning.
CapRescue was called to the island around 6am where they stabilised the woman and flew her to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition.
