A boat crashing into rocks has marked a grim start to Australia Day in Central Queensland.
It’s understood around 3.30am Monday emergency services were called to the maritime accident at Sloping Island off the coast of Yeppoon.
A woman in her 30s was flown by rescue chopper to Rocky Hospital – in a potentially life-threatening condition with facial injuries.

Paramedics took a man in his 50s to hospital with head and back injuries- he was taken by road in a potentially life threatening condition.
