A woman and a toddler have been killed in a truck crash at Canoona, north of Rockhampton.
Police and emergency services were called around 10.40pm Wednesday to reports a Mercedes-Benz truck and a Freightliner truck had crashed on the Bruce Highway.
The woman in her 20s and the toddler were passengers in the Freightliner and died at the scene,
A man in his 20s, who was driving the Freightliner, suffered significant life-threatening injuries and has been airlifted by helicopter to Rockhampton Hospital
The driver and sole occupant of the Mercedes-Benz, a man in his 30s, sustained minor injuries and has been transported to Rockhampton Hospital.
The Bruce Highway in Canoona is expected to remain closed for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are underway and anyone with information or relevant footage are urged to contact police.
