Vehicle of interest identified in Norman Gardens shooting

Rockhampton detectives investigating the suspicious death of a 34-year-old man at Norman Gardens, are looking for a vehicle of interest.

The victim, identified as 34-year-old Anuisha Bone, was found deceased off Yeppoon Road around 4am on Friday, with a suspected gunshot wound.

Footage has now been released of a green Hyundai Getz, with officers appealing to the driver, or anyone who may have seen the car around the Rockhampton area, to come forward.

Investigations indicate the vehicle was spotted at Norman Gardens around the time of the incident.

The same car was checked by police when it was parked on Farm Street, Norman Gardens on October 20, captured in the footage below.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Detective Superintendent Darrin Shadlow doesn’t believe there’s a threat to the public.

“We do not believe that this was a random shooting incident; we do believe that the people were known to each other.”

“We are conducting our investigations. We do have our specialist units from Brisbane here assisting us and we won’t leave any stone unturned.”
