Two people have died following two separate traffic crashes on the Bruce Highway near Gladstone.
The first crash happened at around 1.00pm yesterday, when a truck rolled into a ditch at East End.
The driver, a man in his 30s, suffered critical injuries and passed away at the scene.
Not long after, a truck and a car crashed at the same location.
One of the passengers of the smaller vehicle, a 21-year-old Red Hill woman, also died at the scene.
Two other people in the car were transported to Gladstone Hospital by road with non-life threatening injuries and another patient was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious condition.
The Bruce Highway remained closed for around 10 hours.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision to come forward.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
Another crash also happened nearby, on the corner of the Bruce Highway and Gladstone Benaraby Road, at around the same time as the initial incident.
Two patients were transported to Gladstone hospital in a stable condition following that collision.
