Four people, including two young children, have been killed in a crash in the Central Highlands.
Around 10.50am yesterday, police and emergency services responded to a two-vehicle traffic crash on the Capricorn Highway, between Comet and Blackwater.
Initial investigations indicate a Holden Commodore travelling towards Blackwater struck a Toyota Hilux utility travelling in the opposite direction.
Two men aged 28 and 32, a 6-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl all travelling in the Holden were killed.
The Toyota’s occupants, a 28-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, and a 27-year-old man has been flown to Brisbane for treatment to life threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
