It’s alleged the BMW stopped at a Benaraby caravan park, where an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were attempting to steal another car, while allegedly armed with a replica firearm.

The pair fled the caravan park in the BMW while an 18-year-old woman ran off on foot. She was arrested by police.

Police say the two males then abandoned the BMW at a service station in Benaraby and allegedly stole a 2011 Proton Gen.2.

The Proton travelled southbound towards Gin Gin on the Bruce Highway before police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device.

The 18-year-old was taken into custody while the 17-year-old left the scene on foot and allegedly attempted to steal two more vehicles, but was unsuccessful.
