The CapRescue Helicopter has been called to 10 incidents in five days.
Yesterday, the crew was called to Eidsvold West to transport a 54-year-old man to hospital after he was injured in a crash.
He was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition for further medical care.
Monday saw the chopper conduct a search and rescue at Turkey Beach and two hospital transfers from Biloela and Pumpkin Island.
It was also busy weekend for the crew, responding to a range of incidents on Saturday and Sunday in all corners of the region.
Among the missions were a light plane crash at Raglan, a fatal crash at Dingo, a motorbike crash at Lowmead, a near drowning at Yeppoon, and two inter-hospital transfers from Emerald.
Operations Manager for CapRescue Kirsty Wooler said the past several days proved the vital role of a fast, coordinated aeromedical response in regional Queensland.
“Our crew has been operating at an extraordinary pace, responding to everything from search-and-rescue operations to critical medical emergencies,” she said.
“Their professionalism and resilience ensure lifesaving care reaches people when and where it’s needed most.”
