Six teenagers arrested following armed robbery at Duaringa

A group of six teenagers have been arrested after an alleged crime spree in Duaringa and Rockhampton.

The group have been charged following an alleged car theft and armed robbery, last Thursday.

At 7.00pm police say the group stole a blue 2018 Toyota Corolla from a woman as she was travelling along Quay Street in Rockhampton.

It’s further alleged the group fuelled up at a service station in Duaringa, without paying, where they also threatened a worker with a knife.

The stolen car was located in Woorabinda at midday on Friday.

A 13-year-old Gracemere boy was taken into police custody on Carbine Street at Woorabinda soon after.

He has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, attempted unlawful use of motor vehicle and stealing.

He appearred at Rockhampton Childrens Court on Saturday.

A 15-year-old Parkhurst girl has been charged with receiving tainted property and is due to appear at Rockhampton Childrens Court on August 8.

A 13-year-old Rockhampton City girl has been charged with stealing and is due to appear at Rockhampton Childrens Court on August 22.

A 17-year-old Woorabinda girl has been charged with two counts of stealing and one count of armed robbery and is due to appear at Rockhampton Childrens Court on September 26.

An 18-year-old Parkhurst man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, armed robbery and stealing.

He is due to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, August 5.

An 18-year-old Frenchville man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and attempted robbery, and two counts each of armed robbery and stealing.

He is due to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 7.

Investigations are ongoing.
