A man has been caught with three knives after allegedly trying to flee from police in South Gladstone.
It will be alleged around 1.50am yesterday, police were patrolling along Off Lane when they saw the 30-year-old man on a Personal Mobility Device (PMD) without a helmet.
The man allegedly proceeded through a red light as police tried to intercept him, before a foot chase ensued.
Police detained the man for a search where they allegedly located a butterfly knife, two machetes and a number of empty used clip seal bags.
The man was charged with one count of PMD rider not wearing helmet, one count of proceed through red traffic light, one count of fail to stop private vehicle, one count of unlawful possession of weapon, one count of possess knife in public and one count of possess property suspected.
He is scheduled to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on January 20, 2026.
