A man has had to be airlifted from a cruise ship off the Capricorn Coast.
The RACQ CapRescue crew was tasked to the “Coral Princess” around 3pm on Thursday, located about 70 miles east of Rockhampton.
It’s after a man in his 70s suffered suspected cardiac arrest while on board the cruise liner.
The ship’s medical team assessed the man, and it was decided a medical evacuation was needed.
Rescue 300 arrived at the ship and the medical team was winched onto the deck to assess and stabilise the patient.
The man was then placed on a stretcher and winched aboard the chopper, before being transported Rockhampton Base Hospital for further treatment.
It’s the second incident on a cruise ship that the RACQ CapRescue helicopter has attended in just over a month.
