A fire ban has been extended across parts of Central Queensland.
It is due to heightened fire conditions in the region with the ban in place until Saturday, October 10.
The ban includes Gladstone and Banana local governmnet areas, as well as North and South Burnett, Cherbourg, Gympie, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg.

All open fires are prohibited and permits which have been issued to light fires are suspended.
