A 32-year-old Kin Kora man has been arrested with a string of traffic offences, after crashing his car at New Auckland.
On June 11, police say the man drove to a service station at South Gladstone, in a white Hyundai Kona station wagon and fuelled up without paying.
It’s alleged officers identified the man in Gladstone the next day, while conducting patrols along Yarroon Street.
They attempted to intercept him but he fled the scene in the vehicle.
At around 8.00am on Tuesday, last week, it is alleged the man was driving along Clarence Drive in New Auckland when he has crashed into a tree.
Police found he had already been disqualified from driving.
He was charged with one count of stealing, three counts of driving unlicensed, one count of fail to comply with requirement to stop private vehicle, one count of driving without due care and one count of contravene requirement of police officer.
He is set to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on July 4.
