Five people injured in early morning crashes

It’s been a busy morning for emergency services on Central Queensland roads following two crashes.

Three people have been injured in a collision between a truck and a four-wheel-drive in Rockhampton’s CBD at around 5.30am.

It happened at the corner of Gladstone and Murray Street, causing delays for a period of time while tow trucks removed the vehicles from the scene.

A woman with a facial injury, a female pre-teen with abdominal pain, and a man have all been transported to Rockhampton Hospital in stable conditions.

Meanwhile, crews responded to another two-vehicle incident at Wurdong Heights, also at around 5.30am.

Paramedics attended the scene on the corner of the Bruce Highway and Gladstone Benaraby Road.

Two patients were transported, both in stable conditions.
