A teenage boy has been airlifted to hospital after a serious dirt bike crash at Zilzie Beach.
Emergency crews including the RACQ CapRescue helicopter were called around 3.11pm Sunday afternoon after reports the boy had fallen from his motorcycle at speed.
Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Fire and Rescue and Queensland police were already on scene and applying first aid to the boy when the chopper arrived.
The on board Doctor and Paramedic took over and prepared him for flight where he required life saving procedures before he was stable enough for the 12 minute flight back to Rockhampton Hospital.
He was transported in a serious condition.
