Rockhampton’s Riverside Precinct will come alive with festive cheer next weekend for the CBD Christmas Fair.
Quay Street will host an evening of celebration, community and Christmas magic.
The free, family-friendly event is set to light up the city on December 6, and will feature live music, market stalls, food vendors, free face painting and craft workshops for the kids, photos with Santa and the official lighting of the Christmas Tree.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said the CBD Christmas Fair and the lighting of the tree are among Council’s most cherished community traditions.
“It’s a wonderful way for our community to come together and celebrate the festive season, and I encourage everyone to join us for an evening of Christmas joy and spirit.”
“A special outdoor screening of The Grinch will run from 6pm to 7:30pm, followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree at 7:45pm, so families can enjoy a full evening of festive fun with the little ones.”
Santa has also announced he will be making a special trip to Rockhampton for the CBD Christmas Fair, with his magical mailbox arriving outside Customs House, ready to collect Christmas wish lists.
