Too many local drivers are still ignoring the fatal five, according to police.
Capricornia District road statistics for the past week show 309 speeders were caught and 45 drivers had alcohol or drugs in their system.
Among those were seven motorists who returned high range readings, including two drivers that blew more than four times the limit at Yeppoon and Zilzie.
Other high range blood alcohol readings included 0.174% on James Street at Yeppoon, 0.167% on Sun Valley Road at Sun Valley, 0.162% on Egerton Street at Emerald, 0.154% on Mt Rae Road at Bungundarra, and 0.151% on Esmond Street at Emerald.
Police also detected three high speeds, including a driver clocked going 144km/h in an 80km/h zone on Gladstone Benaraby Road at South Trees, a motorist doing 153km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Bruce Highway at Bajool, and another driver caught going 143km/h in a 100km/h on Yeppoon Road at Bondoola.
The stats also revealed that 11 people were injured in crashes on our roads, two people were fined for using their mobile phones while driving and two were fined for not wearing seatbelts.
