Romp in the Park is a regional event held annually in Rockhampton as part of Under 8’s Week celebrations in May.

Under 8’s Week, which until 1984 was originally Under 5’s week, is about acknowledging the importance of learning in the early years of a child’s life. It has been running for 60 years across Queensland. Over that time the week has evolved, but the purpose to celebrate childhood and promote the importance of the early years remains strong.

This year’s theme is “Unleashing Scientific Thinking Through Play”

This year’s local event is on Friday 23rd May and will be held at the Panthers AFC Grounds (aka The Rockhampton Cricket Grounds). We will be running from 9am to 12pm.

Children and families, schools and ECEC services are all welcome to attend at any time during the event.

So book your FREE ticket (1 ticket per person, including children of all ages), grab your hat and sunscreen and come along and join us for a great morning filled with fabulous activities. There will be a coffee van and canteen available during the event.
