The Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month Information Session will be held on Thursday 7 May 2026 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rockhampton Leagues Club. This free half‑day session brings together key local services to strengthen awareness, collaboration and community responses to domestic and family violence in regional Queensland. Attendees will hear from guest presenters including Queensland Police Service, CatholicCare CQ, Helem Yumba CQ Healing Centre and Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The session will explore current DFV trends, coercive control, culturally safe and trauma‑informed approaches, and practical pathways to support and prevention. Community members, service providers and practitioners are encouraged to attend, with morning tea and light lunch provided.
