Man’s dangerous joyride crashes to an end in Gladstone

A 34-year-old man has been charged with several driving offences across Gladstone.

It will be alleged around 10.30am on Monday, a black Ford Ranger was seen driving through a stop sign and doing a burnout along Railway Street at West Gladstone.

The vehicle allegedly continued to drive in a dangerous manner through several red traffic lights.

Around 1.40pm, the vehicle was allegedly driving dangerously along Hansen Road in Gladstone Central, when it collided with a white Kia Rio.

The 54-year-old female driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries.

Police arrested the 34-year-old man from Toolooa a short time later and charged him with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving unlicensed, and urinating in a public place.

He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Gladstone Magistrates today.

Police are appealing to anyone with information or relevant vision from these incidents to come forward.
