Drug lab raids uncover cannabis plants, cocaine and meth

Two men have been charged after a major drug operation was busted by police.

Detectives raided two properties in Rockhampton yesterday following investigations into the trafficking and supply of dangerous drugs.

A search warrant was executed at an Angela Road property in Rockyview around 7am where it will be alleged detectives located hydroponic drug lab equipment and seized around 40 cannabis plants, and large quantities of cash and illegal tobacco products.

Around 12pm, police attended a second property at Glenmore Road in Park Avenue.

Officers allegedly located and seized quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and LSD, along with a large quantity of cash, drug utensils, and an anti-personnel substance.

A 57-year-old Rockyview man was charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of crime, possessing property suspected of having been acquired for the purpose of committing a drug offence, and possessing tainted property.

He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 6

A 21-year-old Park Avenue man was charged with ten offences, including possessing dangerous drugs (methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, and LSD), possessing anything used in the commission of crime, possessing utensils and tainted property, and possessing a weapon (antipersonnel substance).

He faced the Rockhampton Magistrates Court yesterday.

Investigations are continuing.
