Four people have been airlifted to safety after becoming stranded on an island off Central Queensland.
Three adults and one teenager had been fishing off Hoskyn Island on Saturday (June 7), when they went ashore to take shelter from wild weather.
The group’s boat then began taking on water during the night forcing them to activate their emergency beacon.

They were then taken back to the mainland by boat.
All four were assessed by paramedics, but did not require medical treatment.
