From Prison to Parliament?
In a plot twist even the Tiger King writers might’ve deemed too ridiculous, Joe Exotic, who is currently in a U.S. prison, has endorsed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ahead of the federal election.
Why? Because he hopes Albo will give Donald Trump a buzz and help get him out of jail. In return, Joe’s offering to work for free at any Aussie zoo for six months.
A Wildlife Diplomat?
“I made a public offer… if he (Albanese) would call President Trump and ask for me to be released,” Exotic posted online. He added he’d make the same pitch to Trump or even the President of Mexico.
Albo Response
Asked about the endorsement during his National Press Club address, Albanese laughed it off. “Good to see some levity,” he said, adding he’d never heard of it and no, Labor didn’t pay for it.
He also said he has “very passionate support for one particular animal, his dog Toto.
An Election Game-Changer?
Probably not. Exotic, who still claims he’s innocent, is best known for a failed murder plot and a docuseries binge-watched during lockdown.
Albo calling Trump is about as likely as Carole Baskin joining the Greens.
