A teenager has been hospitalised after a pedestrian and vehicle incident in the Gladstone region.

The teenager was reportedly riding his bike on the Dawson Highway at Clinton, before allegedly being hit on Thursday night.

A spokesperson for Queensland Ambulance says crews rushed to the scene at 6.03pm.

The teenager had leg and chest injuries but was in a stable condition.

He was transported to Gladstone Hospital for further treatment.
