A new one-stop-shop website for Queenslanders to book their flu vaccines at chemists across the state has been launched to ease the burden on staff and make it easier for patients.

Pharmacy Guild of Australia Queensland president Chris Owen says the new website will enable Queenslanders to quickly book into their community pharmacy to access the free influenza vaccines.

“Since the announcement, community pharmacies have received many calls from the public looking to access the free influenza vaccinations,” Mr. Owen says.

“Just like with the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccines, it’s important to get as many people vaccinated as possible; that’s why it’s critical the Palaszczuk Government has included community pharmacy in this manner.”

“The online booking service at www.qldfreevax.com.au is straightforward and easy to use.

“All you have to do is enter your suburb, and the website will automatically find the next available appointment at your closest community pharmacy.”

The free influenza vaccine program ends on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
