Gladstone copper thief caught
A 40-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stealing and selling copper in the Gladstone area.
Police say the man broke into a business on South Trees Drive 18 times between May 7, 2021 and March 3, pinching large amounts of industrial copper.
The man has been charged with six count of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property.
He was granted bail and is due to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 24.
The 40-year-old is the latest person to be charged with offences regarding copper theft, with a several people already before the courts.
