A man has been charged after two vehicles and a shed attached to the Emu Park Police Station, were damaged.

Police say at about 3.20pm on Sunday a vehicle collided with a parked car at a driveway outside the garage, pushing it through the door and into another car.

The driver exited the vehicle before allegedly pouring fuel over one of the cars and lighting a small fire in the grass nearby.

The fire was later put out, and no one was injured.

A 42-year-old Zilzie man was arrested over a separate matter and later charged with two counts of wilful damage, one count each of wilful damage of police property and attempted arson of a motor vehicle.

He was denied police bail and is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.
