The family of a woman, who was allegedly murdered by her estranged husband in Central Queensland, has thanked emergency services and the public for their support.
42-year-old Karen Gilliland died from multiple stab wounds at her home at The Range on Tuesday night.
Two of her children were home at the time.
A family representative has briefly fronted the media and read a short statement:
"We are here to thank the first responders, ambulance and police and neighbours on the night that helped the kids.
The kids schools and staff , the Rockhampton community as a whole for their support -- the police support has been incredible."
