The raging fires have decimated banana and avocado crops in Central Queensland.

One banana grower has lost thousands of trees and his irrigation system, as a result of the Cobraball fire.

CEO of Australian Banana Growers Council, Jim Perkin said the fires across the east coast are devastating: "Our heart really goes out to those farmers that have been burnt out, one guy, he got his shed, his brother's shed and he's packed all of his bananas...plus his avos...99 per-cent of his avos are burnt".

On Wednesday, the bushfire is within containment lines at Mount Lizard and between Limestone Creek Road and Adelaide Park Road.

However, authorities are warning conditions could intensify again with residents reminded to remain vigilant.
