Man Charged Over Deadly Lakes Creek House Fire

UPDATE | A 39-year-old man, accused of sparking a deadly house fire in Lakes Creek in August, has had his case mentioned in Court on Monday.  

Davan Bradshaw did not appear during Monday's mention, after walking into the Brisbane City Police Station and handing himself in.  

He faces charges of murder and arson and was remanded in custody ahead of his next court mention in Rockhampton on October 14 according to media reports.

EARLIER | A 39-year-old man has been accused of lighting a deadly house fire at Lakes Creek in August.

Emergency services were called to the house fire in the morning of August 15 at Hill Street where the body of a 47-year-old man was discovered.

Around 6:00PM on Sunday a man, who was known to the deceased, handed himself into Brisbane City Police Station.

A 39-year-old Rockhampton man has been charged with one count each of murder and arson..

He will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
