In a busy start to the week for RACQ CapRescue crews, two people have been airlifted to hospital on Monday in Central Queensland.

The CapRescue helicopter was called out to an incident at Stanage Bay and a single car crash at Emu Park yesterday morning.

Crews assessed a woman in her 40s at Emu Park at around 11.00am, after the car she was in hit a tree and caught alight.

Other emergency services also rushed to the scene to treat the woman who suffered burns and head injuries.

She was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

In an earlier mission at 8.30am, the helicopter responded to a call out to Stanage Bay, where a man in his 70s suffered suspected cardiac issues.

He was stabilised for flight and was also flown to Rockhampton Hospital.
