A man has been airlifted to Brisbane in a serious condition, following a head on collision at Calliope.
Two men had to be freed from crashed vehicles at the scene on Gladstone Monto Road, at around 6.00am yesterday.
One of the men was driven to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition.

While the RACQ CapRescue helicopter airlifted the other man, in a serious condition, to the Royal Flying Doctor Service at Rockhampton Airport for direct transport to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital .
The road was closed for several hours following the accident.
