Investigations are underway after the alleged unarmed robbery of an 82-year-old man in Park Avenue.
Police say the man had pulled over and exited his vehicle, a white Holden Cruze, when a white Toyota Camry sedan pulled over behind his vehicle, at around 4.30am yesterday morning.
The man was approached by a woman, described as first nations in appearance, slim build. She spoke to him briefly and returned to the Camry when a man pushed him to the ground from behind and fled in the 82-year-old’s car, followed by the Camry.
Detectives are investigating possible links to other incidents this morning including a suspicious person in Musgrave Street at 12.20am, a burglary in Broad Court at 2.30am, and another in Allenstown at 3.40am.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in these areas at those times and anyone with relevant CCTV or dash cam footage.
Investigations are ongoing.
