Queensland Police have charged two people in relation to an alleged car theft of a vehicle at a Yeppoon shopping centre.
Around 12.10pm Wednesday, a mother was packing the boot of her grey Nissan Patrol when a woman is accused of entering the vehicle and drove away, with a four-month-old baby girl in a rear car seat.
The woman realised the child was inside and returned to the scene and demanded the mother take the child out of the car.
The child was removed, and the woman drove away in the Nissan Patrol, allegedly crashing into two people in the car park.
A 16-year-old male and a 39-year-old woman received injuries to their legs and were transported to Yeppoon Hospital.
The baby was not physically injured.
Around 4pm, police allegedly located a stolen grey Nissan Patrol at Bungundarra and took a 24-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man into custody.
The 24-year-old Cobraball woman has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, abduction of a child, driving without a licence.
The 36-year-old Mount Morgan man has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
They have both been denied police bail and are due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court this morning, April 20.
