Police have charged an 18-year-old man with murder following the death of a 58-year-old man in Emerald last Friday.
It’s alleged the older man was found unresponsive following a disturbance between the pair, who were known to each other, at a Loch Street address around 11pm.
The 18-year-old was taken into custody the night of the alleged homicide and was formally charged at the Emerald Police Station yesterday afternoon.

He’s been charged with one count of murder and appeared in Emerald Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon.
Investigations remain ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who may have information to come forward.
