When Battery World’s Skip Wren decided to retire – he knew his operation could not be in better hands – with his son Tony and daughter-in-law Tracy officially taking over reins of the family run business.
Skip has been a fixture on Rockhampton’s commerce landscape for over a decade – sharing in cyclones and floods to overcome a personal challenge when his old store burnt down.
For years Tracy and Tony have worked with Skip: in fact Tracy started working in the shop from the very day it opened. Together with husband Tony the duo deliver exceptional customer service and expert advice.
They love nothing more than sorting our customer’s needs with Rockhampton fast becoming a one-stop shop for battery needs.
And if you need more convincing to visit the store: Rockhampton customers have been lucky winners in two national battery competitions – one winning a car: the other a luxury fishing trip with Matthew Hayden and ET – staying on Hamilton Island.
From free battery testing to the latest solar technology and batteries for over 8000 gadgets and appliances Tracy and Tony are ready to offer advice as your specialists: they are Batteryologists.
Rockhampton has a strong commitment to their local community through recycling and many sponsorship commitments.
They happily take in your old domestic batteries for recycling from cars to AAs, along with supporting school recycling initiatives.
Adding to that they provide sponsorship and support to many community groups: including the Brothers Senior Rugby League team, the Rockhampton Gun Club, The Richlands Show, Women that Fish (WTF) and St Joseph’s Park Avenue School where they have sponsored the fete, along with providing calendars and netball uniforms. They have also sponsored the musical production at Emmaus College as well as the Yeppoon Coast guard by supplying batteries for their watercraft.
